WE WON! WE WON ANOTHER DESIGN COMPETITION! Rosie Fivian & Michelle Wheatley won a national design competitition for their collaboration on the design of a public bus shelter that celebrates the musical history of Athens, Georgia. The design is to be constructed later this year. Images of the design & links to the website are coming soon. Email me if you would like to see them sooner. It is being called the shadow bus stop as there are about 60 bands recognized and special recognition for R.E.M., the B-52's, & Pylon using the solar angles & shadows to cast images of their names and some transportation related lyrics on the ground. The competition was held by the Athens Area Arts COuncil.
